On the morning of May 12th, the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held to solemnly commend the winners and organizations of the 2023 Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Awards. The "Key Technology Research and Industrialization Project for Ultra High Voltage Thin Film Capacitors" jointly completed by the company, State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co., Ltd., State Grid Intelligent Grid Research Institute Co., Ltd., Xi'an Jiaotong University and other units has won the third prize of Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

Ultra high voltage transmission technology is one of the core technologies of modern power systems, which is of great significance for achieving large-scale and long-distance power transmission. As an important component of ultra-high voltage transmission equipment, the performance of large capacity thin film capacitors directly affects the safe and stable operation of the transmission system. For a long time, key technologies in this field have been monopolized by a few foreign companies. In order to break the technological blockade and achieve domestic substitution, State Grid Anhui Electric Power has taken the lead in collaborating with multiple domestic research institutes and enterprises to carry out joint research and development of key technologies for ultra-high voltage thin-film capacitors.


As one of the main participating units in the project, the company fully leverages the unique advantages of the integrated industry chain of thin film capacitors, relies on profound technical accumulation and rich production experience, and deeply participates in the full chain research and development of materials, structural design, process manufacturing, etc., providing strong support for the successful implementation of the project. The company, together with project partners, has successfully overcome a series of key technical challenges, effectively promoting the high-end development of the capacitor industry and further enhancing the company's research and application capabilities in the field of high-end thin-film capacitors.


The successful implementation of this project not only realizes the localization replacement of thin film capacitors for ultra-high voltage, reduces China's dependence on imported products for ultra-high voltage transmission equipment, but also drives the technological upgrading and innovative development of upstream and downstream industries. At present, the project achievements have been applied to multiple ultra-high voltage transmission projects in China, and have helped related capacitor products successfully enter the international market, achieving good economic and social benefits.
