Tongfeng Company is a national high-tech enterprise, a key high-tech enterprise in the National Torch Plan, and a core backbone enterprise in the Tongling Electronic Materials Industrial Base of the National Torch Plan. It has established a complete organizational system for scientific research and innovation, and set up a Technology Management Center as the overall management institution for technology research and development. The Center coordinates various subsidiaries and related departments to ensure precise and efficient advancement of the company's technological innovation work. The Technology Management Center comprises a Capacitor Testing Center and a Thin Film and Capacitor R&D Laboratory, and undertakes the construction and operation of three high-level innovation platforms: a provincial-level enterprise technology center, an Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory for High Energy Storage Capacitors and High-Performance Dielectric Thin Films, and a national-level postdoctoral research station.

In 1998, with the approval of the Provincial Economic and Trade Commission, a provincial-level enterprise technology center was established. The company's executive deputy general manager and chief engineer concurrently served as the head and implemented the director responsibility system. It had five research and development sub-centers, namely the BOPP electrical film sub-center, BOPET film sub-center, metallized coating sub-center, capacitor sub-center, and precision connector sub-center.

At the end of 2003, the company obtained approval from the Ministry of Personnel to establish a postdoctoral research station, and in April 2004, it signed an agreement with the University of Science and Technology of China to jointly build a postdoctoral research station. Relevant systems such as the "Interim Provisions on the Management of the Postdoctoral Research Station of Anhui Tongfeng Electronics Co., Ltd." and the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Mid-term Assessment of Postdoctoral Fellows in Anhui Tongfeng Electronics Co., Ltd." were formulated. The company has successively recruited postdoctoral fellows to conduct research in collaboration with Hefei University of Technology, Nanjing University, and the Hefei Institute of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and currently has several doctoral students stationed. These efforts have solved many technical challenges in the company's multiple projects.

The Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Energy Storage Capacitors and High-Performance Dielectric Thin Film Materials can provide services for conducting long-duration AC/DC and their superimposed durability tests, high-voltage tests, self-healing tests, partial discharge tests, high-current impulse discharge tests, thermal stability tests, explosion-proof tests, vibration and impact tests, damp heat and salt spray environmental tests, and other special tests. Additionally, it offers testing and analysis for particle materials and thin films, including thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy analysis, surface morphology analysis, and oil thermal decomposition tests. These services provide reliable support for the company's product research, development, and certification.

The Testing and Calibration Center was officially established in December 2024, adhering to the quality policy of "scientific fairness, precision and efficiency, rigorous pragmatism, and innovation leadership". All personnel engaged in testing management and technical work at the center have undergone training and passed the examination, obtaining authorization to work, and possess solid professional theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

The center occupies an area of approximately 380 square meters and is equipped with a thin film testing room, a capacitor testing room, a technical center laboratory, and a comprehensive office. It is furnished with a total of about 100 sets of supporting testing instruments and equipment, including various LCR bridges, impact testing machines, temperature and humidity test chambers, and thermal shock test chambers. All inspection and testing equipment undergoes metrological calibration by qualified institutions to ensure accurate and reliable testing data, with measurement values effectively traceable.
