On March 27th, the China Machinery Industry Federation hosted a new product technology appraisal meeting for the nationwide production of DC dry-type capacitors jointly developed by Tongfeng Electronics and China Electric Power Research Institute in Beijing. The capacitor successfully passed the new product technology appraisal.

The appraisal meeting was chaired by Academician Lei Qingquan from Xi'an Jiaotong University, and a appraisal committee consisting of 15 authoritative experts in the power industry conducted an appraisal of the "G77-2K80-8007 (D) -1046 National Produced DC Dry type Capacitor". The appraisal committee listened to the research and development summary, type testing, scientific and technological novelty search, technical and economic analysis and other reports made by the research and development unit, reviewed the appraisal materials, and the attending experts fully affirmed the company's research and development manufacturing capabilities and product performance indicators. They believed that the overall performance of the product could reach the international advanced level, unanimously agreed that the product passed the appraisal, and suggested that it be put into trial operation as soon as possible.

This new capacitor product is specifically developed for the DC support system of flexible DC transmission converter valves. The company, together with its partner units, has overcome technical difficulties in the entire industry chain including materials, processes, and testing, achieving national production substitution from raw materials to finished products. It helps break the monopoly of foreign polypropylene resin raw materials and high-end DC capacitors, effectively solving the bottleneck phenomenon of high-end electrical products on the raw material and application sides, and realizing the localization engineering application of the entire industry chain of high-end capacitors.
